Oxford Art Online

Tucked away on our cozy little dictionaries and encyclopedias page is the new Oxford Art Online (OAO) database. It's a great source for information on slightly obscure art topics that can otherwise be difficult to find online:

• art movements like Groupe de Recherche d’Art Visuel (OAO vs. Wikipedia)
• artists like Lajos Kassák (OAO vs. Wikipedia)
• other figures in the arts like Denise René (OAO vs. Wikipedia)

There are also detailed entries on figures like Jean Baudrillard from the Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, definitions of art terminology from the Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms, and a new search interface for images.
